Using Standard Carton Packing in RF

Carton Packing provides an RF aspect in the system so you can use your standard warehouse loading procedures and still utilize the Carton Packing functionality to its fullest. In any of the Carton Packing screens in a field that you enter information, you can scan your item, carton, order, or tote to provide the system with the latest information.

Note: All RF screens and functionality display through the character-based system. Log in to your Eterm account for the following procedures.

To pack a carton through RF:

1. From the Whse Mgmt > RF Applications > Misc menu, select Pack Cartons to display the Truck Load Br screen.

2. Scan the carton you want to pack with your RF terminal.

   

3. Review the status of other totes or already-packed cartons.

4. Use one of the following:

• Alt-P - Packs all items on the order in the carton.

• Alt-H - To change header information, if needed.

• Alt-S - To change the status on the carton.

• Alt-L - Prints labels.

• To generate a new carton, press F10 and select a carton type. Selecting New or Edit displays the Carton Header screen to indicate to carton type.

  

• Press Esc to return to the RF pack screen.

  

• Scan the product you want to pack.

• In the Pak Qty field, enter the quantity you want to pack.

  

• Repeat steps 7-9 to pack additional items, as needed. To add an additional carton, press Alt-N.

• To view current statuses or inquire about carton contents, use the following:

• Alt-P - Packs all items on the order in the carton.

• Alt-H - To change header information, if needed.

• Alt-S - To change the status on the carton.

• Alt-L - Prints labels.

• Alt-O - Displays items and quantities remaining to be packed.

• Alt-P - Displays items and quantities that have been packed in the current carton.

11. Press Esc to confirm the current carton is packed.

12. Enter or scan the staging location for the packed carton.
