During your work day, you might frequently be away from the system, and unable to monitor system messages that require your response. Using the message forwarding function available with Eclipse Personal Information Manager, you can set the system to send your system messages directly to your e-mail address.
When enabled, the system sends all messages that you receive through the system from other users, including notifications and the content of appends to trackers for which you are on the Forward List. Forwarded system messages include the following:
System messages from other users - The e-mail subject line reads "Eclipse Message Received From xxx User" and the e-mail body contains the content of the system message.
Tracker alerts - As appended comments are added to trackers, the system sends a message to each user on the forward list. In addition, for each user on the forward list that has message forwarding enabled, the system also sends the tracker information with the updated appends to the users e-mail account. Tracker appends are listed with the most recent first in the body of the e-mail.
If you also run Eclipse Mobile, you can access Eclipse information directly from the system-generated e-mail. The text in the e-mail includes links to information such as vendor IDs, products, sales orders, and transaction attachments. Click the links to display the Eclipse Mobile page in your computer's default web browser.
To set a user to receive forwarded system messages in e-mail in Eterm:
From the System > System Files > User Control menu, select User Maintenance to display the User Maintenance screen.

The e-mail address you enter here is also used in the From field in e-mails sent from the system if you are running the Outbound E-mail companion product.
In the Forward Messages to E-mail field, enter Yes.
