Searching the System for Trackers

Use the Activity Log Indexing function to search for trackers when you do not know the activity log in which the tracker resides.

To search the system for a tracker:

  1. From the System menu, select Activity Log Indexing to display the Activity Log Indexing screen.

  2. Complete the following fields, as needed:

Field

Description

Keywords/Rel Notes

Enter one or more keywords to search for trackers containing the keywords in the trackers's original comment,  Keywords field, or release notes.

Customer/Vendor

Enter the internal ID of a customer or vendor to search for trackers associated with that customer or vendor.                                                

Release Notes Only

Indicate whether to search only the release notes for the designated keywords.

  • Y – Searches only the release notes.

  • N – Searches the tracker comments, keywords, and release notes. This is the default.

Patch Level

Enter a patch level to search for trackers that reference that patch level.

  1. Use the Begin Search hot key to start the search.

The system displays a list of trackers that match your search criteria.

  1. Select the tracker you want to view.

The system displays the tracker in the Call Tracking Entry window.
