Regenerating EFT Transmissions

Use the Regenerate EFT Checks window to retransmit electronic payments that have already been removed from the staging file. Because the payments have been removed from the staging file, you must regenerate the data before you can re-send the transmission.

To regenerate an EFT transmission:

  1. From the A/P menu, select EFT Transmission Release to display the EFT Transmission Release window.

  1. Populate the Branch/Territory and Bank Account fields on the EFT Transmission Release window.

  2. From the File menu, select Regenerate to display the Regenerate EFT Checks window.

  1. In the Transmit Date field, enter the date for which you want to regenerate the transmission. Typically, this date reflects the date of the original EFT payment that you want to regenerate. (Required)

  2. In the Batch ID field, enter a specific bath number to regenerate the transmission for checks in that batch. To regenerate the transmission for all batches, leave this field blank.

Note: The system generates batch ID numbers when you print documents from the Print Invoice window. View the System Activity Log to inspect the batch numbers. For more information, see Printing Invoices.

  1. In the Vendor field, enter a specific vendor to regenerate the transmission for only checks written to that vendor. To regenerate the transmission for all vendors, leave this field blank.

  1. In the Auto Transmit check box, do one of the following to determine how to transmit the information:

  1. To start the regeneration process, click Begin to regenerate the data and place it in the staging file.

  2. Continue with the process for Sending EFT Transmissions.
