INVM Pick Parameters Control Maintenance Records
The following control maintenance records belong to the INVM (Inventory
Management) category and apply to picking inventory.
Pick By Location Based On Received
Date
Indicate whether the system fills an order by picking the oldest products
first rather than searching for a location that contains the full order
quantity.

products first. That is, those received first are the
first ones to be picked.

No - Picks products
from a location that contains the full order quantity.

When set to Yes,
if there are multiple locations for the same item with the
oldest receipt date, the system selects the location with
the smallest quantity first. Using this control maintenance
record helps to eliminate floating locations.

When you receive
an item using RF Receiving, the system stores the receive
date for the location and the receiving quantity.
You can review the locations with the
oldest receive date using the Last Count/Receive Date view
in Product Location Maintenance.

Use Location Expiration Dates
Indicate whether the system stores expiration dates by location rather
than by branch.
Status To Require Heat Numbers In Warehouse
Confirmation Queue
New in Release 9.0.2
Select the status at which you want the confirmation process to stop
and require heat numbers before proceeding. Based on the status, the system
will automatically display the Heat Number Entry window. Users can exit
the window to return to the Warehouse Confirmation Queue, but their step
is not confirmed until heat numbers are entered.
