Options

  • Yes - Picks the oldest products first. That is, those received first are the first ones to be picked.

  • No - Picks products from a location that contains the full order quantity.

Outcome of setting this control record

Determines from where product is picked first.

When set to Yes, if there are multiple locations for the same item with the oldest receipt date, the system selects the location with the smallest quantity first. Using this control maintenance record helps to eliminate floating locations.

Default Value(s)

No

Action if set to Null

Same as if set to No.

Additional Information

When you receive an item using RF Receiving, the system stores the receive date for the location and the receiving quantity.

You can review the locations with the oldest receive date using the Last Count/Receive Date view in Product Location Maintenance.

Use Location Expiration Dates

Indicate whether the system stores expiration dates by location rather than by branch.
