Analyzing Data in PDW Price Viewer

Use the PDW Price Maintenance option to manage import dates, pricing effective dates, and price units of measure values and quantities through the PDW Price Viewer window. From this window you can adjust effective dates or prices for price sheets which the product is using, check the import date and source to verify that the information is being retrieved correctly, or review units of measure and quantities.

To analyze data in PDW Price Viewer:

  1. From the Tools > Product Data Warehouse (PDW) menu, select PDW Data Viewer to display the PDW Data Viewer window.

  2. In the PDW ID field, enter the product ID or indexed metadata item for the product you want to view.

  3. Click Price Viewer to display the PDW Price Viewer window.

  4. Note: You can access this window from the File menu using the PDW Price Maintenance option.

  5. Review the following information:

Field

Description

PDW ID

The Eclipse product number.

Description

The metadata item description.

A single PDW record can contain metadata items defined for multiple data providers or vendor disks.

Effective Date

The date loaded data becomes effective (active) in the system.

Meta Name

The meta data name.

Zone~Sheet

The price zone or price sheet information which was entered for a give Price Meta and Effective Date.

Eff Date

The date loaded data becomes effective (active) in the system.

Price

The current price as loaded from the price sheet.

UM

The unit of measure by which pricing is updated.

PerQty

The per quantity allowed for update.

Import Date

The date the data was last imported.

Import Source

The source from which the data was imported.

  1. Use the View Manager to limit the columns to display or create a user-defined view.

  2. Save your changes and exit the window to return to the PDW Data Viewer.
