Automatically Processing Cut Product Orders

Automatic Processing was designed to handle getting the orders with cut product into the cutters hands faster by processing the order and having the cut tickets and cut labels print for either RF or Non-RF warehouses. For branches that do their own cutting for an order and have it processed immediately on site, you can set the ship via for an auto-process, such as Pick Up Now, for those branches. The system processes these orders automatically when the sales order status is set to Invoice or Pick Up Now and the ship via is set to the correct status for automatic processing.

Enter the ship via to use when a cut product process needs to be fulfilled immediately. For example, if you cut your own products on site, you may set up a ship via called Cut Now. Enter Cut Now each time an order should be immediately processed. If the sales order has a status of Ship On, Ship When Avail, or Ship Complete, the system looks to see if the ship via is an auto processing ship via, and processes the order accordingly.

If the Enable Default Cutting Process For Procurements set to Yes, then any procured cut products are included in the cutting process. The cut ticket prints including the procured cut items along with a comment that the product is tagged to an order when the sales order completes processing.

Note: Any order processed automatically using the designated ship via, bypasses the Cut Product Queue and prints the Cut Ticket, For RF warehouses, the cut product displays in the Warehouse In Process Queue.

To set an order for auto-processing:

  1. From the Maintenance > Product Additional menu, select Cut Product Maintenance.

  2. If not already displayed, select Settings from the side pane.

  3. In the Br/Tr/ALL field, select which branch you want to set up automatic processing for.

  4. In the Ship Via(s) for Auto Processing field, enter the ship via to use for processing orders automatically.

Note: Cut Products do not automatically transfer the individual cut amounts. You must process the cut products from the branch that has the product and is set up to cut the product.

  1. Save your changes and exit the window.
