Use Cut Product Maintenance to define reel options, similar to cut charges, that display in Cut Product Entry. These products are spool and reel products used to load wire for shipping and distribution.
Note: Products with related products assigned cannot be added to the Cut Charges or Reel Options tables in Cut Product Maintenance.
To set up reel options:
From the Maintenance > Product Additional menu, click Cut Product Maintenance.
Select the Cut Group Maintenance tab.
In the Cut Reel Options area, use the Reel Products column to enter spool options you want to use.
In the Cut Reel Options area, use Reel Per column, to enter one of the following:
Cut - Charge is based on each cut made.
Group - Charge is based on the cut group that is associated with products. For example, a parallel group has one flat charge for all the cuts made.
Unit - Charge is based on the products unit of measure. For example, if you want to charge fees based on the overall footage of a product.
Save your changes and exit the window.
