Depending on how you manage your business and product file parameters, you may have images stored in Eclipse that are used for the company website. You can use these images as tools to give your employees a visual aid when selling items or checking inventory. In Solar Eclipse, images display in Product Maintenance and Inventory Inquiry, but they are also used in the Web Order Entry and Eclipse Mobile companion products.
Note:Eclipse supports most product image files. Review the Before You Begin section for image setup requirements.
Address the following control maintenance records:
As of Release 8.7.8, you must have PDW Imaging or Document Imaging companion products to attach images to product files.
PDW Imaging - Set up your system according to the PDW instructions for images to identify the PDW path for images.
Document Imaging - Set up your system according to the WOE images enabling instructions. In addition, set up the website directory path to enable WOE images.
To attach an image to a product record in Product Maintenance:
From the Maintenance menu, select Product to display the Product Maintenance window.
In the Product field, enter the product name or ID and press enter to display the record for which you want to attach an image.
From the User Tools > Imaging menu, select Index Images.
Browse your system to locate the image file you want to use.
Save your changes and exit the window.
