Selling Products Requiring MTR Documents

Mill Test Reports (MTR) provide proof that certain products you have purchased meet standard industry specification. When you sell products that require MTR documents to be attached, the sales order program provides prompts and options that help you decide how to send the MTR document to customers for the ordered products that require the MTR documentation.

Not all products with MTR documents attached must have the documents sent. Customers request MTRs with an order shipment when they place the sales order. Eclipse has created cross references within the system for the MTR heat numbers and the products.

When the ship ticket prints, the MTR heat information can be recorded by the picker to ensure that the correct products are loaded for that sales order. For more information, see Providing MTR Documents to Customers .
