Changing a Sales Order's Delivery Address

You can edit a sales order to ship to a different address. This is useful when you need to ship an order to a customer job site, for example. You can select from a pre-defined list of addresses or, if authorized, edit ship-to addresses from order entry. You must be assigned the SOE.ALLOW.ADDR.CHANGE authorization key assigned to edit new ship-to addresses on accounts that have the Ship to Address Changes Restrictedcheck box selected.

To ship an order to a different address:

  1. Create or open a sales order and display any order tab.

  2. In the Ship To area in the upper-right corner, click Edit. The Change Ship To window displays.

  3. In the Customer field, enter a new ship-to customer, if applicable.

  4. In the Address, City, State, and Zip fields, enter the new delivery information.

The system populates the Country based on the ZIP code entered.

  1. Click OK to update the ship-to address.

  2. Complete the order as usual.
