Sales Opportunity Tracking provides options for tracking your sales
opportunities and monitoring which one are won and which ones are lost.
An opportunity is a feature
that helps you manage your sales efforts by giving your organization visibility
into the opportunity process. Opportunities can be assigned to bids or
job bids in Eclipse and help you track
opportunity details
You can link job data to sales opportunities as they arise. You can track potential sales in a pipeline and tie opportunity to a job or a sales order. Use the Additional Header Information in Sales Order Entry to enter the job name and tag the order to that job. By tieing the order to the sales opportunity directly, the system populates the order's sales opportunity information. You can use the Sales Opportunity Pipeline Report to see a summary of opportunities.
A job may be linked to a single opportunity. It can have multiple customer bids associated to it; meaning, customers who are bidding on the job and using the Eclipse customer to source the material. A job can have multiple vendor bids; meaning, those bids to the Eclipse customer's vendors who provide material for the job.
Note: If you purchased Job Management companion product, we recommend keeping all your job management details in that system.
