Reviewing Customers' Credit Standings

Use the Customer Credit Inquiry window to view totals of a customer's past due invoices, available credit, and current credit limits. The window  is divided into three rows. The first row shows the limits, the second row shows the amounts used, and the third row shows the amounts still available.

The credit information shown in this window may – or may not – take into account open orders, depending on how the Include Open Orders In Credit Balancecontrol maintenance record is set.

To review a customer's credit:

  1. Create or open a sales order and display the order's Header tab.

  2. From the Tools menu, select Customer Credit Inquiry to display the Customer Credit Inquiry window.

  3. Review the Limit, Used, and Available amounts for the following columns of information:

Field

Description

Past Due

The dollar amount of past-due invoices.

Credit

The customer's credit limit.

Order

The customer's credit limit for this order.

Job

The customer's credit limit for this job or project.

  1. Click OK to exit the window to return to the order's Header tab.
