Record quality and value enhancements that have been added to a product in the Lost Cost Adders dialog box. For example, if you processed bolts to make them rust-resistant, record this enhancement in the Lot Cost Adders dialog box.
The system displays any value enhancements in the Cost Adder field in the Detail Lot Maintenance window so you can keep the appraised value current for the detail lot.
To record an enhancement for a detail lot:
From the Warehouse Management menu, select Detail Lot Maintenance to display the Lot ID Selection window.
Enter the following criteria to select a detail lot product:

The product you want to view or edit. If you do not know the detail lot ID, enter the product name in the Productfield and pressEnter. Select a detail lot ID from the display list. |

Click OK to display the Detail Lot Maintenance window.
From the Edit menu, select Cost Adders to display the Lot Cost Adders dialog box.
In the Date column, enter the date the product quality enhancement was made. Enter today's date, or a past date.
In the Code column, select an enhancement code defined in the
The system populates the description of the code in the Description field.
In the Quantity column, enter the quantity of the detail lot that received the enhancement.
For example, you have a detail lot of 100 bolts. You are adding rust proofing to 10 of these bolts. When you open the Lot Cost Adders dialog box, the Quantity field displays 100. Change the quantity to 10, to represent the bolts that received the rust proofing.
In the Amount column, enter the cost of the enhancement per unit.
In the UM column, select the unit of measure for the detail lot.
Click OK to save the enhancement record and return to the Detail Lot Maintenance window.
In the Cost Adder field, view the enhancement cost per unit.
In the App Value field, adjust the appraisal value, if necessary.
